First Water Purification Hand Pump Installed at Calorx Global School, Silaj – Ahmedabad
As a part of a pilot project for one of its clients, Dutch Business Partners India (DBPI) has successfully completed the installation of a water purification hand pump at Calorx Global School, located outside Ahmedabad.
The handpump is the first of its kind in India that can purify 500 litres of raw water in an hour without the use of electricity and it is self-cleaning. The purified water is of drinkable quality and meets World Health Organisation (WHO) standards. While some of the handpumps have been installed in other countries, DBPI has spearheaded the initiative in India in collaboration with its partner - Water Systems Manufacturer.
The school management and students are pleased to participate in the pilot testing of the handpump, which will also form a part of their educational assignment under the guidance of DBPI.
